Teravail Limited Warranty

Teravail guarantees its products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the original date of purchase, subject to the limitations below. The proof of purchase date is the one that is specified on the retail sales receipt issued by the dealer. This warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage due to improper assembly or follow-up maintenance or lack of skill, competence or experience of the user or assembler
  • Products that have been modified, neglected, used in competition or for commercial purposes, misused or abused, involved in accidents or anything other than normal use
  • Damage or deterioration to the surface finish, aesthetics or appearance of the product
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Labor required to remove and/or refit and re-adjust the product within the bicycle assembly

This limited warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of a defective product, at the option of Teravail, and is the sole remedy of the warranty. This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Teravail product and is not transferable. This warranty applies only to Teravail products purchased through an authorized dealer or distributor. In no event shall Teravail be liable for any loss, inconvenience or damage, whether direct, incidental, consequential, or otherwise resulting from breach of any express or implied warranty or condition, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise with respect to Teravail products except as set forth herein. This warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights, and those rights and other rights may vary from place to place. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, THESE WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS INCLUDING WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Warranty Claims

  • All Teravail products are covered under warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of retail purchase of the product, subject to the limitations detailed below:
    • Save your dated purchase receipt for proof of purchase.
    • Every Teravail product has a useful product life cycle. The length of that useful product life cycle will vary depending on the construction and the materials of the product, maintenance and care the product receives, and the amount and type of use the product is subjected to over its life.

      Tires and tubes are considered consumable goods, and our warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear and/or usage. Examples of normal wear include tread wear, flat tires, cuts and tears due to road or trail debris, etc.
    • Note: Our tires are handmade and as with anything handmade, may have slight variations from tire to tire. Slight side-to-side wobble in the tread when new may occur and is normal.
  • Warranty periods are as follows (note that all warranty periods apply to the original owner only):
    • Tires: 24-month (two-year) warranty
    • Apparel:  One-year warranty
  • Teravail shall have 100% discretion in determining whether the rim is covered under warranty or not.

  • If you purchased your Teravail product from your local bike shop or an online retailer, please first contact that business with your product defect or warranty request.
  • If you purchased your Teravail product directly from Teravail.com, please follow the steps below to process your claim directly with Teravail.
  • If you believe your product to be defective and would like to submit a warranty claim, please follow these instructions:
    • Your original proof of purchase/order confirmation showing your order number and date of purchase.
    • A photo or video of the offending area/issue.
    • A photo or video showing the complete product.
